SpaceX Halts Early Morning Falcon 9 Launch at Kennedy Space Center

Early this morning, SpaceX decided to postpone the Falcon 9 rocket launch scheduled at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

Early on Tuesday, Nov. 26, SpaceX attempted to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center for the Starlink 6-76 mission, but the attempt was scrubbed. For live updates and details from the launch attempt, scroll down.

This marks SpaceX’s second Falcon 9 launch within just 21 hours from Florida’s Space Coast.

The launch was scheduled for an early morning liftoff at 2:02 a.m. on Tuesday from pad 39A. The rocket’s first-stage booster was set to land on a SpaceX drone ship in the sea about eight minutes after launch, following a southeasterly trajectory. No sonic booms were expected over Central Florida.

The Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron had forecasted more than 95% favorable conditions for the launch.

Look for the live webcast from SpaceX about five minutes before the planned liftoff, which will be posted below the countdown clock. This mission follows a predawn Falcon 9 launch for another Starlink mission at 5:02 a.m. on Monday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
