Eat these foods to control blood sugar during pregnancy 

Magnesium Rich Foods

Magnesium is an essential mineral for our body, which helps in keeping muscles and nerves healthy, keeping bones strong and controlling blood sugar levels. Magnesium-rich foods are important for maintaining energy and keeping your blood sugar stable. Magnesium-rich foods like spinach, almonds, and avocado are not only delicious to eat, but also healthy. 

Protein rich foods 

Protein not only strengthens your muscles, but also plays an important role in controlling blood sugar level. Protein-rich foods like pulses, paneer, dagi can be included in the diet. 

Fiber rich foods 

To control blood sugar level, fiber rich items should be included in the diet. Fiber rich foods help in controlling blood sugar and reducing cholesterol. Consuming these food items also keeps the digestive system healthy. Include whole grains, pulses, bananas, apples, pears, green vegetables in your diet.

Control food cravings

Divide the amount of carbs you eat throughout the day to keep blood sugar levels stable while controlling food cravings. Include healthy foods in your diet as a nutritious breakfast, if possible, consume Greek yogurt. 

Eat whole grain bread

To control blood sugar, eat bread made from whole grain flour instead of bread made from refined flour or wheat flour in your diet. 

It may be a little difficult for you to control your cravings and consume healthy foods during pregnancy, but include healthy foods in your diet for better development of yourself and your baby and to control blood sugar levels.
